The funeral of Mrs. Catherine Wilsey, who died Thursday, will be held at the Universalist Church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Wilsey was the eldest daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Kilmer, pioneers of LaSalle county, and was born at Hyde Park, Luzerne Co., PA, in 1825. She was married to Amos Talmadge Wilsey, Dec. 19, 1846. They moved to Ottawa in 1854 and resided for several years on Superior St. Mr. Wilsey worked at his trade as carpenter, later they moved to a farm in Manlius Twp., where they resided until a couple of years before Mr. Wilsey's death, which occurred in Marseilles, Mar. 31, 1884.
To Mr. and Mrs. Wilsey were born 6 children - 5 girls and 1 son.
The surviving children are: Mrs. Jane Evans, of Ottawa; Mrs.
Wm. Sindel, of Miller; and Mrs. Wm. Stadden, of Rutland.
Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She
leaves 2 brothers, Egbert Kilmer, of Ottawa, and Thomas Kilmer,
of Verona - and three sisters, Kansas; and Mrs. Mary Miller, of
Marseilles.
