T. Redfield Passes Away
Thomas H. Redfield, former Streator resident, passed away Sunday in Evanston where he had lived with his daughter since 1960.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Elias Funeral Home, with burial in Riverview cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Redfield operated a photographic studio in Chicago until 1906 when he came to Streator, operated a studio here, and then took employment with Thatcher Manufacturing Company for 27 years until his retirement.
He was born February 21, 1878 at Fon-du-lac [sic], Wis. son of Rodney and Amelia (Stowe) Redfield. He married Myra Bowman in 1903 in River Forest.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Boess, Evanston; two grandchildren, John G. Boess, Evanston; and Mrs. Ross (Mary) Calame of Warren; one great-grandchild, Julia Ann Calame; one niece, of Glen Ellyn. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1959.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church, where memorials may be directed.
