Mrs. Thomas (Myra) Redfield dies in rest home; rites Saturday 2 P. M.
Mrs. Thomas (Myra) Redfield died Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. in the Star Haven Rest Home where she had been a patient for almost two years.
The body was taken to the Elias Funeral Home, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday, until the time of services. Final rites will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the funeral home with burial in the Riverview cemetery.
The deceased was born at Hennepin, April 7, 1880, the daughter of Rankin and Mary A. (Murdock) Bowman. The marriage between the former Myra Bowman and Thomas Redfield took place May 3, 1903 at River Forest. She was a members [sic] of the Congregational church for 71 years, the King’s Daughters, and Worthwhile Circle, spending almost all of her life in this community. Survivors are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Boess, Evanston; and two grandchildren, Mary and John Boess. She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, a brother, Edward, and a half brother, Charles Young.
