Mrs. Redfield died yesterday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. L.W. Clark, No. 52 North Park street, of heart disease, from which she had been suffering for several months. Mrs. Redfield was born in England, Feb. 14, 1817, and came to America when but a girl. She married Roswell Redfield, and lived in Chicago in its early days, and from there went to Kenosha, Wis., where her husband kept a hotel. She came to Streator in 1874, where she has resided ever since. The remains were taken to Chicago this morning, and will be buried at English Prairie, near Richmond, McHenry county. Mr. Redfield, her son, arrived from Wisconsin before his mother died. Mrs. Redfield had a large acquaintance in this city, who sympathize with the bereaved relatives in their loss.
