On Thursday, 12th inst., Mrs. ELIJAH HINDMAN departed this life, at the age of about 48 years. The cause of her death was cancer from which she has suffered for a long time with christian patience and fortitude. Mrs. H. had resided in this city for many years and leaves a large family of children to mourn her loss. Her husband was for years in the employ of the M. & H.
Zinc Co., and a few years ago was sent to look after the interests of the company in some of the ore fields of the west. We believe he is no longer in the employ of the zinc company, but is still somewhere in the far west, but whether his family have been able to communicate with him we cannot say.
