LA SALLE OCTOGENARIAN DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESSFuneral services for Mrs. Sophia Hammerick, 88, well known LaSalle woman, who died at the home of her son, Gus Hammerick, La Harpe street, following an extended illness, were held at 2 o'clock at the La Salle German Lutheran church by Rev. F. C. Krueger. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Hammerick had been a resident of La Salle for the past 57 years.
Surviving are the following children, Conrad of De Kalb, Mrs. Caroline Wolf of Peru, Mrs. Ema Cremins, Mrs. William Gundlach, Mrs. Gustave Traeger, and Ludwig Hammerick, all of La Salle; 51 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
