MARSEILLES - Mrs. Hiram (Ella) Chapman, 80, of Marseilles died Friday
night at the Rivershores Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Seals-Campbell Chapel with
the Rev. Robert Glaser of the Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Burial
will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Monday at the
chapel.
Memorials may be directed to the Gordon Thorsen Cancer Fund.
She was born in Marseilles Nov. 17, 1893, to John and Bertha Juergenson
Hetelle. In 1917, she married Hiram Chapman, who survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Delbert of Newark, Russell of Plattville,
Chet of Marseilles, and Wes of Seneca; seven grandchildren; nine great
grandchildren; two brothers, Jesse Hetelle and Gust Hetelle both of
Marseilles, and one sister, Miss Emma Hetelle of Marseilles. She was
preceded in death by one son, four brothers and one sister.
