in Streator, IL and Dora Elizabeth Reibert, born Dec 10, 1889 in Streator,
Il. They were married Apr 28, 1909 in Ottawa, IL. Dora was the daughter of
Casper Reibert. Her siblings were John, Tillie and a Mrs. Lawrence Bredle.
John had three nephews: Albert, Charles and Samuel, all lived in the Chicago
area in the late thirties. Joseph passed away Apr 18, 1939 in Kankakee, IL.

Looking for information on Alexander Jackson BELDEN, his wife Nancy
Elizabeth DAVEY, and their family, who were residents in Ross Grove area
from mid 1850-s until about 1870. A number of his children were born here,

I'm trying to locate the death location and date of Henry Snyder. He resided
in Mendota in 1910 census and passed away before 1916 state death index
system started. He doesn't show up in LaSalle Co. death records, which could
be an err or he could have moved. Does anyone have suggestions for finding
him? He was alone and most likely no obit would appear. Which Mendota area
cemeteries were operating in 1910 - 1915? Were there city directories to
trace residency? I'm not familiar with the area and would like help

Martin - I am looking for information on the Henry and Margaret (George)
Martin family. They came to America from England. Some of the children were
born in England but my great grandmother Sarah Jemima Martin Sanftleben
Stallings was born in Ottawa, IL according to her marriage license. She
married Henry (Heinrich) Sanftleben. Sarah was born on 11/1866. I do not
know how long the family lived in Ottawa or when they came there. Sarah and
Henry were married in E. St. Louis, at St. Mary's Mission Church. Sarah had
three sisters, Maragaret, Maria and Mary. Brothers named Samuel and Isaac.

Have a picture of him with my father on his knee (around 1920). Dad
remembers him as jolly Frenchman in Council Bluffs, Iowa; perhaps a tavern
owner. Dad thinks he married his grandmother, Marie Kemp/Camp Chambers and
adopted his mom, Vesta Chambers Evans. Vesta died in 1925 in Stockton, CA
and is buried in Omaha, NE. No records except obscure GEDCOM file exists
with reference to Emil Albert.

George A. STEVENS, for whom Stevens Point Wisconsin is named, lived in
Mendota, LaSalle Co., in 1860 with his son Chester Dana Stevens. Chester was

particularly looking for documentation of Chester's role in the Civil War.
Family letter from 1864 says he was with commissary in Tennessee. He does
