FUNERAL OF CHARLES SHAFER
The funeral of Charles M. Shafer, who died on Monday at Newark, N. J., took place from the residence of Mrs. Jennie Shafer, on Post street, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The remains were brought to Ottawa Saturday. His ailment was an abscess of the brain. He was a son of the late Martin Shafer. His brother F. A. Shafer, of Eureka, Kansas, is in the city in attendance at the funeral.
